Daily schedule for practising vipassana meditation Sangha, male and female yogis who are practicing vipassana meditation have to wake up at 3:30 a.m.in the morning when the brass gong strikes. At 4:00 a.m., all have to practise sitting meditation in the hall on the first floor of the Sima. At 5:00 a.m. nine precepts have to be taken. The first meal (breakfast) is offered at 5:30 a.m. After breakfast, walking meditation is practised up to 6:30. From 6:30 to 7:30, sitting meditation. From 7:30 to 8:00, walking meditation. From 8:00 to 9:00, sitting meditation. From 9:00 to 10:00, bathing and washing. Lunch is offered at 10:30 a.m.
